Blogger has Blog title, blog description and blog header image. You can use blogger header image instead of the blog title and description. Header image is used as the link to the homepage of your blogger blog.
When you publish your post having any image you add ALT TEXT to your image for better SEO results (by clicking on image, then on properties and then add title and alt text to image).
What if you want to add ALT text to your HEADER IMAGE. In this post I will describe about adding ALT TEXT to your blogger header image. By default your blogger header image ALT TEXT is your blog title.
Steps for adding ALT TEXT to Header Image
- Go to Dashboard - Template - Backup/Restore - Download Full Template - Close - Edit HTML - Proceed - Check the box next to 'Expand Widget Templates'
- Find the following line of code. (By pressing ctrl+F and search for "<!--Show the image only-->").

- Repalce alt='data:title' from the above code with the following code
Here, YOUR_ALT_TEXT1 and YOUR_ALT_TEXT2 are the keyword for ALT TEXT. You will need to change these keyword according to your choice. Also you can add more keywords separated with (,).
For Example :
alt='"pageword, my pageword blog"'
Now you need to save your templete and adding of ALT TEXT to HEADER IMAGE is complete.
